I met up with colleagues and made some new friends while attending the 2024 event in Baltimore. The fresh hot pita from Yesh was delicious, especially stuffed with shawarma and coleslaw. History, food, and Judaism are all topics I’m interested in and Joel united them all into a fascinating discussion. He’s enthusiastic about his research and knows how to delivery a great punchline while also providing insightful moments in history and well as inspirational food for thought (no pun intended).
Thanks for coming to Maryland, Joel. Can’t wait to go to Israel and enjoy a slice of halva with fresh cappuccino.
